COMPLEX REHABILITATION CENTRE OF PH HORNÍ BEŘKOVICE

The Complex Rehabilitation Centre of Psychiatric Hospital (PH) Horní Beřkovice is designed as an independent department with related places of work – the Training Centre of Manual Skills, and the Training Centre of Psychosocial Skills. Both training centres will be newly constructed and will be operated on a community principle.

Achievement of increased efficacy of therapeutic processes is envisaged through the establishment of an independent Training Centre of Manual Skills, which will be created by reconstruction of a former coal storage area, converting it into a two-floor rehabilitation site. New ergotherapeutic workshops and places of work will be created.

The two new places of work are complementary, forming in a significant manner favourable conditions for enhancing manual and social skills that will support the development and implementation of a complex rehabilitation care programme.

Concentration of the rehabilitation programme patients at a specialized department will help to form a stable environment and support motivation by a group cohesion. It will also support the patients' feeling of security as they will not have to become used to other patients and other personnel.

   The purpose of the project is to achieve complex psychiatric rehabilitation; therefore a related place of work will be built as part of the project, the Training Centre of Social Skills, created through reconstruction of the second floor above ground of a former monastery within the area of psychiatric hospital premises. New places of work are connected to rooms used in after-care for interactive contacts between clients and non-profit after-care organizations. The following places of work will be newly created:
